The path of recruitment of 1431 assistant teachers got cleared in the legal betting screw-in Uttarakhand Education Department. According to the Director of Education in charge of Secondary Education, Bhupendra Singh Negi, the department has got permission from the High Court to recruit these posts.

After getting its permission from the double bench of the High Court, the Subordinate Services Selection Commission is being written to start the recruitment of teachers to these posts.

According to in-charge Education Director Bhupendra Singh Negi, the recruitment process was started to fill the vacant posts of Assistant Teacher LT in the department, but some candidates filed a petition in the High Court challenging the recruitment saying that teachers in the department filled up by promotion should also be recruited by including them in the direct recruitment posts.

4000 teachers posts are vacant
At the same time, some candidates challenged the court in the absence of recruitment notification for the posts of art subjects. On the petition of these candidates, the single bench of the High Court had banned recruitment on July 2, 2019, but now the department has got the permission to recruit.

More than four thousand posts of teachers are vacant in the education department. In order to fill these posts, the Department has written to the Public Service Commission and Subordinate Services Selection Commission, but the Department is not getting teachers from the Commission on time.

Until the regular appointment of these teachers was not received, the department started the process of recruitment of temporary teachers in these positions, but the process of recruitment of temporary teachers on the basis of walk-in-interview is also entangled in the legal process.
