The Uttarakhand Cabinet has approved several schemes for the employees, women, farmers, and youth. The Cabinet has stamped on many pending demands of agitated state employees. Out of 15 allowances ended with an increase in housing allowance, five allowances will stay the same.
An ordinance will be brought to the economically backward class for 10 percent reservation in jobs. For the farmers and women, loan schemes are provided along with which women are provided with Aanchal Amrit Yojana.
In the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, 27 out of 28 points were passed. The cabinet has postponed the recommendations of some amendments to the new excise policy with 20% revenue growth. The government has approved to open Cancer Center at Haldwani Medical College to provide cancer treatment.
152 posts have been created for the center. Apart from this, the Budget session which starts on February 11 has also approved the Governor’s address and budget. Two ministers Madan Kaushik and Arvind Pandey were not present in the meeting. The meeting, which started from 11 o’clock in the morning, ended at three in the afternoon.
