For the devotees coming to the Kedarnath yatra beginning on 9th May, warm rooms will be set up with the MRP (Medical Relief Point) of the health department on Gaurikund-Kedarnath pedestrian route. 9 permanent MRPs are being built by the health department on the 17-km pedestrian track. Whereas two warm rooms will be installed in Kedarnath. That is, a total of 11 warm rooms will be installed. This facility will also help in the treatment of the patient suffering from hypothermia (rapidly decreasing body temperature, and restlessness).
Arrangements have been made to recruit 2 to 6 patients in 9 permanent MRP being built by the Health Department. Any kind of health problem of pilgrims on foot will be treated here. This is the first time when the health department will administer the MRP on the permanent structure of Kedarnath Yatra. In the first two months of the journey, one specialist doctor, pharmacist, and other health personnel will be deployed. In each visit, one warm room (heater rooms) will be installed separately by the administration on each MRP, where 6 to 8 high capacity heaters will be installed. This can save the needy passengers from the cold. Warm rooms will be installed near Rudra Point and Biometrics registration camps in Kedarnath, Of which 8 to 10 heaters will be installed. During the cold, devotees will be placed in these warm rooms for some time. This facility will help in the treatment of the victims of hypothermia in walkways and Dham.
On the way, arrangements for the bonfire will be made
On the pedestrian route and Kedarnath, in view of the accumulated snow in the way. The administration has directed the Nagar Panchayat Kedarnath and Ukhimath Tehsil Administration to send two to five quintals of wood to the identified places by May 5. Wood will be provided according to the demand during the journey.
In the Kedarnath yatra, Warm rooms will also be established along with MRP to save the devotees along with better health facilities. The necessary facilities on the pedestrian track will be completed by May 7. Read more posts…
