Garhwal University convocation: NSA Ajit Doval to be conferred with honorary degree

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval will be conferred an honorary degree at the convocation of Garhwal (Central) University Srinagar. The seventh convocation of Garhwal University on December 1 (second after becoming Central University) is to be held at the Swami Manmanthan Auditorium.

Human Resource Development Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will be the chief guest of the program. In this time’s convocation, NSA Ajit Doval, a resident of Gheeri village in Pauri district, was proposed for an honorary degree.

Khadi dress code applied
On this, the meeting of the Working Council was approved. Coordinator of the ceremony Prof. RC Ramola informed that Doval will be conferred an honorary degree on 1 December. He informed that plastic material will not be used in any way in the program.

The UGC has implemented the Khadi dress code for the convocation, but currently, there is no time to change the ordinance to change the dress code for the convocation. The gown will be like the previous, but the material like corsets and bags will be of Khadi. The dress code for the convocation will be changed from next time.
