The Minister for the forest, AYUSH, labor, and employment Harak Singh Rawat, the chief guest of the occasion said that he would refrain from making any announcements as the model code of conduct has been enforced in the State.
The fifth biennial convention of Federation of Uttarakhand held on Monday at the press club is a welfare programme held for women health, children and women employment. Harak Singh on the occasion assured that genuine demands of workers would be addressed.
The president of the association Guddi Matura said that the women health workers while working under tough conditions have given positive results in all the Government-run health schemes. She also added that the Government order for second Assured Career Progression (ACP) after completion of 16 years of service should be implemented without delay.
She demanded recruitment drive to be undertaken to fill 800 vacant posts of female health workers in the state health and family welfare department. The Director-General ( DG) health services, Dr. T C Pant, additional director National Programmes Dr. Saroj Naithani, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun Dr. S K Gupta and the president of State employees, joint federation Thakur Prahlad Singh besides the health workers were present at the convention.
