Dengue has also been confirmed in 237 more people in the state on Friday. The maximum number of 165 patients is from Dehradun. While 68 cases were reported positive in Nainital, three in Bageshwar and one more in Champawat. In this way, the number of patients suffering from Dengue has increased to 3846 in the state.
In Dehradun district, Dengue is wreaking havoc this time. The situation is that all previous records in the cases of dengue have been left behind. Here the figure of Dengue patients has reached 2434. At the same time, the activity of dengue mosquito is increasing in Nainital district too. Here the number of Dengue patients has increased to 1134. Similarly, 146 patients in Haridwar, 85 in Udham Singh Nagar, 15 in Tehri, 9 in Almora, 6 in Rudraprayag, 3 in Bageshwar and 2 in Champawat have so far been affected by dengue.
According to official figures, the death toll from Dengue is being reported as 7. While 12 patients have died due to this disease so far. Of these, the highest number of 11 patients died in Dehradun. However, the dengue havoc has not stopped and the responsible officials are making claims upon claims. Departmental officials say that strong preparations have been made for the prevention and protection from dengue and anti-dengue operations are being carried out continuously. The teams are visiting the affected areas. After going from house to house survey, the larvae of dengue mosquito is being destroyed on the spot. Health camps are also being set up at different places. Through these camps, free medicines are being given to patients suffering from fever and viral diseases. At the same time, blood samples of dengue suspected patients are being sent to the lab for examination. Patients who are admitted in hospitals are also getting proper treatment facilities. Teams have been formed to monitor the treatment and screening of patients in private hospitals and pathology labs. Here, the municipal administration is also continuously claiming that fogging is being done continuously in all the wards.
