Dehradun: Dengue havoc still not ended, 11 new patients confirmed

Dengue havoc

Dengue havoc is not yet over. In viral and mild fever, patients are requesting doctors to write a dengue test. Dengue has been confirmed in 11 new patients in the district on Friday. So far, 21751 patients have been screened in government hospitals in the current season in the district.
Even though the number of dengue patients has started decreasing after the onset of cold, this time the dengue mosquito dominated the people. If the government figures are to be believed, the number of dengue patients in Dehradun district has reached more than all previous records this season. Last year, around 1,800 people confirmed dengue in ELISA investigation.

While this time the figure has reached 4924 by Friday. The fever caused by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which started in July from a small area in Raipur and its surroundings, spread almost like an outbreak in the entire district. District veterinary disease control officer Subhash Joshi said that on Friday, blood samples of 65 patients were tested in Doon Hospital. Out of which 11 have been found to be dengue positive.
