Jat Bhawan is being constructed on Haridwar Bypass Road on behalf of Uttarakhand Jat Mahasabha. On Sunday, the foundation stone was laid by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat along with Rajya Sabha MP Chaudhary Virendra Singh, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, and MLA Vinod Chamoli. During this, the Chief Minister announced a grant of Rs 25 lakh for the building. While MLA Vinod Chamoli said to give ten-ten lakh rupees, a total of thirty lakh rupees every year.
At the foundation stone laying program, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Jats have contributed significantly to the country’s independence as well as development. He assured to provide all kinds of assistance for the building. Rajya Sabha MP Chaudhary Birendra Singh announced the grant of one million rupees for the building and asked the Jat community to improve the economy. Apart from this, he called for mobilization from the Jat community.
Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama and MLA Chamoli expressed happiness over the construction of the building. Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that the Jat community was the first to inspire him to build the building. Jat Mahasabha President Ompal Rathi, Harendra Pal Singh, Ajit Singh, Mayor of Kashipur, Usha Chaudhary, Chaudhary Ajit Singh, former Mayor Jammu Chaudhary Manmohan Singh, Sushil Rathi, Aman Singh, Dariab Singh, Induwala, etc. were present during this period.
‘I am a six-letter Rawat, the Chief Minister is a nine and a half letter Rawat’
Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat took a dig at Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat during the foundation stone laying program. Due to which the other people sitting on the stage could not stop themselves from laughter. When the Jat Mahasabha asked for the support money for the building, Harish Rawat said that “I am a six-letter Rawat, nine-and-a-half-letter Rawats are sitting in front of you”. He will help you more than me.
He did not stop here and said that he is the subdued Rawat, but Chief Minister is the bold Rawat. He always takes harsh decisions. He also took a dig at Rajya Sabha MP Chaudhary Birendra Singh. He said that he is happy when he comes here, but now he is sitting in another place, he is not happy.
When Chaudhary Birendra Singh’s turn came, he also answered the questions of Harish Rawat. Said, even though he is not happy, but he is still his friend. When Birendra Singh asked him to clap, Harish Rawat said, “Now there is no clapping on his part”.
