After getting the first case of Corona, the students’ holidays from first to the fourth year of MBBS have been declared in Government Medical College Haldwani. The order came into effect from today. On the other hand, the health department is monitoring 12 people who have returned from abroad. The CMO has so far received a list of 143 people who have returned from abroad.
On Saturday, samples of two suspected corona suspects came from Dehradun. On Sunday, a sample came positive during the corona examination at the Virology Lab of the Government Medical College Haldwani. After this, Principal Dr. CP Bhaisoda declared a holiday for students from MBBS I to IV year till 31 March. The principal informed that classes of MBBS Final Year and PG students will continue.
On the other hand, the health department will monitor 33 people for 14 days. Samples of 16 patients have come to the Medical College’s Virology Lab for examination. The report will come after an investigation of six samples on Monday. ACMO Dr. Rashmi Pant said that on Sunday, a list of 12 people who have returned from abroad from the government has been received. The team will be sent to everyone’s house on Monday.
Four samples from the Nainital district were investigated and not a single case has been positive so far. Isolation wards have been created. Dr. Rana said that private hospitals that have built isolation wards can keep the patients of Corona. The patient or suspect must be reported immediately to the health department. If a patient or suspect of corona arrives in a private hospital, his sample will be examined.

Corona infection can also spread through ATM
Despite thousands of people withdrawing and depositing lakhs of rupees every day at ATMs, there has been no alert in the ATM regarding Corona. No efforts were made to make people aware. No steps have also been taken towards sanitizing ATMs. The district has about 197 ATMs.
Maximum 96 ATMs are in Haldwani. However, Deputy General Manager of State Bank of India, Rajiv Ranjan said that posters will be installed in ATMs to make customers aware. So that customers coming to the ATM can be made aware of Corona. District Lead Bank Officer MS Jangpangi said that there was no guideline from the RBI regarding the corona.
CAU stopped registration
The Cricket Association of Uttarakhand has banned the online registration process across the state. Association treasurer Kamal Papanai said that in view of Coronavirus, the online portal has been closed till further orders. Also, the Nainital District League has also been postponed.
Wash hands with passengers’ sanitizer
On Sunday, officials led by ARM Surendra Bisht of Haldwani depot of Roadways washed off with the sanitizer of passengers traveling in buses. Also, the passengers were informed about the prevention of coronavirus. Pesticides were sprayed in all buses since morning. During this, station in-charge DN Joshi, etc. were present.
Results will be given to 25 and 27 in Kendriya Vidyalaya
Due to the transition of Corona, the examination of students from first to eighth in the Kendriya Vidyalaya has been postponed to 31 March. The exams of class 9th and 11th are being conducted as per schedule. The result of primary classes on 25, junior, 9th, 11th class results will be declared on March 27.
The Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Tribhuvan Prasad Arya told that the school management has received the orders of the Deputy Commissioner from Dehradun. Parents have been sent the exam date and subject information via WhatsApp and mail. Examination results will be given to the parents by not giving them to the students.
Parents can come to the school on the scheduled dates to take the exam results. Results will also be sent to parents via WhatsApp and mail. The Principal said that the new education session would normally start as per the set schedule, but the instructions received by the Deputy Commissioner from Dehradun would be complied with. Information about the start of new education sessions will also be given through WhatsApp and mail.
Biometric attendance will not be recorded
Letters have been sent on behalf of Kumaon University to the directors of DSB Campus Nainital, SSJ Almora, Sir JCBose Campus Bhimtal, HRDC, and Mahadevi Verma Srijan Peeth Ramgarh. In the letter, the university has directed to close the premises by 31st March to prevent the Coronavirus and not to register with the biometric machine.
In the letter issued by the Registrar, Dr. Mahesh Kumar, it has been written that classes, workshops, conference seminars, etc. will not be held in the university till 31 March. Researchers may reside in the hostel with the permission of the concerned Dean.
