A statement by Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat has come up in the midst of controversy surrounding the CAA and NRC. He told the media during an event that he has received feedback that some anti-social elements from Jamia University and Kashmir have entered Uttarakhand.

These people are spoiling the system in a planned manner by inciting the people of the state against the CAA. They want to disturb the peace here. If all these do not stop, then the government will take strict action. By marking such people, orders have been given to take action against them.

Such hazing will not be tolerated
He said that if the people of the state agitate on any subject in a democratic manner, then it is their right. But if people from outside will come here to provoke people in this manner and to protest, then it will not be tolerated.

CM Trivendra attended the employment fair organized by the employment department on Thursday as the chief guest. 45 companies have participated in the fair, more than 4000 vacancies are being interviewed.

As that of Shaheen Bagh, there is a protest against the CAA in Haldwani. Muslim women have been sitting on dharna at the Taj Crossroads overnight. At the same time, in Dehradun, women had demonstrated against it recently.
