CM Trivendra launches air service from Dehradun to Varanasi

Air service from Dehradun to Varanasi from Jollygrant Airport in Dehradun has started from Saturday. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat launched the air service. CM Trivendra said that so far air service from Dehradun has started for more than 23 cities. In two and a half years, rapid work has been done in Uttarakhand to increase not only the infrastructure but also the road, air, and ropeway connectivity. This will further strengthen the tourism business in the state.
Until 26 October, Air India will operate two days a week i.e. Wednesday and Saturday. After this, air service can be increased by re-scheduling the timetable. This will be Air India’s third flight starting from Dehradun. With the commencement of this service, tourists and job professionals coming to Uttarakhand will be able to reach Banaras in a short time.

Air service will begin from Dehradun to Kolkata from Banaras in October. In view of air traffic, this service can be regularized three days a week and thereafter.
