The state government is preparing to connect 25 thousand street vendors of the state with the Prime Minister Street Vendor Scheme. Under this scheme, a loan of Rs. 10,000 will be provided to those who set up small shops along the road. For the effective implementation of the scheme at the district level in the state, all the district collectors have been instructed to provide loans to the people in coordination with the lead bank officials.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat gave this information in a meeting with BJP National President JP Nadda on Tuesday through video conference of Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states. He told the BJP President that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is emphasizing on effective implementation of schemes run in the interest of common people. Plans are being reviewed regularly.
There are 25 thousand street vendors in the state. Preparations are on to connect everyone with this scheme. This will bring prosperity to the poorer section of the society. The Chief Minister informed that more than three lakh migrants have returned to the state. Chief Minister Swarojgar Yojana has been started for them. 10 thousand youth are being allocated 25 KW solar power schemes under the Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme. This will earn them 15 thousand rupees per month. With this, a scheme has been started to provide motorbikes to 10 thousand youths.
The interest of two years in this will be borne by the state government. The new provisions in the mandi committees will benefit the farmers greatly. Tenants will also benefit from the duty exemption in supplies outside the market. Earlier, the BJP National President informed all the Chief Ministers about the schemes being run by the Center. He said that effective initiatives should be taken on the central schemes launched to improve the lives of poor businessmen.
