‘Char Dham’ encloses pilgrims’ visit for winter

Char Dham yatra for the pilgrims encloses for winter soon. The date for closure set for the Hindu pilgrimage tour is set on the ceremonial occasions like Vijaya Dashami and Bhaiya Dooj.

The portals of Gangotri shrine will be closed for the public at 12:30 PM on November 8, the Kedarnath shrine will be closed at 8:30 AM on November 9, while Yamunotri will be closed at 3:15 PM on the same day, which is also Bhaiya Dooj. The portals of Badrinath shrine will be closed for the winter at 3:21 PM on November 20.

More than 16 lakh pilgrims have collectively visited in this year according to the official sources. A total of 9,76,021 people had visited Badrinath and that of 7,07,323 people in Kedarnath, which together makes 16,83,344 people in these two shrines till Oct 18 this year.
