In Uttarakhand, there will now be the same standards for physical examination in direct recruitment of Group ‘C’ posts. For this, the Subordinate Services Selection Commission has prepared four categories for physical test for the first time by taking suggestions from experts.
After taking in-principle consent from the state government, the commission will determine the time and distance from the survey to the standards. This initiative of the Commission will facilitate the physical examination. At the same time, the candidates will be able to prepare for the ground test according to four standards.
The selection commission is to have the physical test of the candidates for direct recruitment. It has started to create new standards for them. The same standards are being made for physical examinations by the Commission.
Yet different standards were set
So far each department has set different standards for physical examination. In which the candidates are unable to prepare for qualifying the ground test as well.
The Commission has made the category of physical test on the recommendation of experts of many sports universities and academies of the country including Uttarakhand. With the consent of the government, the commission will determine the time and distance for the standards according to each age group through the survey.
Opinion from experts of these institutes
Standards were made by taking the opinion from Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports Patiala, Maruthal Sports University Haryana, Muzaffarnagar Sports Institute, Gurukul Kangri University, Jaspal Rana Shooting Institute, Deputy Director of Sports Department. These standards apply to physical examinations conducted across the country.
Physical test will be done on these four parameters
With the suggestion of experts, four categories were proposed for the physical test. The posts in which the physical test is to be conducted will have the same standards. It includes 2.4 km race for Stamina, 100-meter race for speed, Medicine Ball Throw standing for Upper Body, State Broad Jump for Lower Body. What will be the time and distance for these parameters? For this, the commission will determine the standard time and distance of the survey according to each age group.
There are yet different standards for physical examination. The Commission endeavors to set the same standards for physical tests. For this, four categories have been prepared on the recommendation of experts. After taking permission from the government, a survey will be conducted across the state to determine the standard.
