Cabinet decision: Now up to this age, youth will be able to become lecturer, good news for LT teachers too

The government has increased the age limit for the recruitment of lecturer in government secondary schools in Uttarakhand. Now the candidates who are 42 years old can also apply for the post of lecturer. Till now this age limit was fixed at 35 years. Due to this, thousands of candidates were being denied an application. On Wednesday, the cabinet approved the amendment in the Uttarakhand Special Subordinate Education (Spokesman Cadre) Service Rules.

The age limit for the recruitment of lecturer posts in the secondary schools of the state was 21 to 35 years. The government has now revised the maximum age limit to 42 years by amending the service manual. Those candidates are relieved by this decision of the government.

Due to the age limit, the lecturer was denied an application for the post. For direct recruitment, the age of the candidate should not be more than 21 to 42 years from the first of July of the year. For the post of Lecturer Hindi, a postgraduate from any recognized university, a graduate in Sanskrit subject, LT diploma and B.Ed in Shiksha Shastra are compulsory educational qualifications.

At the same time, for the Lecturer Sanskrit, a postgraduate in Sanskrit from a recognized university, Acharya literature, grammar, astrology, Acharya Veda and Acharya comparative philosophy have been prescribed from Sanskrit College.

Educational qualification made easier in the recruitment of LT teacher posts
The government has simplified complex educational qualifications for direct recruitment to Assistant Teacher (LT) posts in government secondary schools. In this, the cabinet has approved the amendment in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Education (Trained Graduate Category) Service Rules to change the mandatory educational qualification for the post of Assistant Teacher of Arts, Physical Education, Computer Science.

In a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Wednesday, it was approved to amend the Uttarakhand Subordinate Education (Trained Graduate Category) Service Rules. Till now, two, three and four-year diploma courses from recognized colleges and institutes identified for the post of LT Arts were compulsory.

It has been removed and now graduated from a recognized university with a degree in Drawing, Fine Art, Visual Arts, a BL degree from a government recognized training institute or college, and a minimum of four years B.Ed in Arts subjects from National Council of Teacher Education has gone.

Similarly, for the post of Physical Education, at least one-year BPAD educational qualification has been kept in Physical Education from an institute recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. BCA for Computer Science post has been removed.

Educational qualification is laid down in the manual for the post of the agricultural subjects. Earlier agriculture was not there for a post of LT. For this post, Graduate in Agriculture, LT Diploma and B.Ed from a recognized college or institute.
