Buses will start operating in Uttarakhand from 25 June. This important decision was taken in the meeting of the Transport Corporation Board. Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman of the Board Om Prakash said that it was agreed to operate buses within the state in the meeting. In the first phase, only 50 buses of roadways will be operated.
An important meeting of the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation Board was held on Tuesday. After the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman of the Board Om Prakash informed that currently 50 buses of roadways will be operated in the first phase, if it is successful, then the buses will be operated in the second phase after that. From June 25, Uttarakhand Transport Corporation buses will ply on the roads. At present, the Corporation will operate buses on short-distance routes.
The meeting also approved the benefits of Uttarakhand Atal Ayushman Yojana to the employees of the Transport Corporation. Permission was also granted to take loans of 300 buses purchased earlier by the Transport Corporation. With this, the proposal to give the Transport Corporation land to the ISBT bus station for the smart city on Haridwar bypass has been approved. It was decided that the land of ISBT Dehradun would be given to Nagar Nigam if the government did not agree on the acquisition.
Energy Corporation cut down the electricity of Daat Kali Tunnel
The Energy Corporation of the newly constructed Daat Kali Tunnel has cut off power. Due to this, the tunnel has been dark even during the day. The outstanding is said to be around three lakh rupees. Superintendent Engineer of City, Shailendra Kumar of the Energy Corporation said that during the construction of Daat Kali Channel, the temporary connection was taken by the Bharatiya Engineering Construction Company, a working organization.
After the work was over, the movement started in the tunnel, but there was no problem for the common people, so no electricity was cut yet. However, in recent times, despite repeated reminders, efforts were not made by NHAI to collect the arrears. NHAI will now have to get a permanent connection for the tunnel, but this connection will be given only when the dues are deposited.
