BJP leader Me too case: Sanjay Kumar’s mobile sent to lab for inquiries

Police have sent the former BJP minister Sanjay Kumar’s mobile phone to Central Forensic Laboratory, Chandigarh, for allegedly raping a woman worker. Four days ago Sanjay Kumar had sent the mobile to the police. It is alleged that Sanjay Kumar made a video of the victim from this mobile.

Significantly, a case was registered against Sanjay Kumar in Kotwali city on January 5. In this case, the police had earlier filed a lawsuit against the allegations of molestation and pornography. However, after the magistrates’ statements, it was also added to the misdemeanor clauses. Last week Sanjay Kumar also came to the police to record the statement. During this time the police asked for his mobile. It was alleged that Sanjay Kumar had also created a video of the victim from his mobile.

Sanjay Kumar had sent his mobile to the police on Thursday. SSP Nivedita Kukreti told that Sanjay Kumar’s mobile has been sent to Central Forensic Laboratory, Chandigarh. He told that only after the investigation it will be decided whether the video was created from the mobile or not. The SSP said that investigation is focused on collecting evidence.
