Government employees of Uttarakhand will now be able to see their General Provident Fund (GPF) account online through mobile phones. In this regard, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat launched the ‘Online GPF Uttarakhand’ mobile app, prepared by Indian audit and accounting department Uttarakhand with the help of NIC on Friday.
In the program organized in the public meeting hall of the Chief Minister’s residence, CM Rawat said that the services of e-governance have been facilitated through the information technology. He said that through this app, the employees will get access to the provident fund accounts. They will be able to get information about the amount of their GPF. They will be able to get full information on the General Provident Fund account sitting from their mobile home.

GPF Online App will give details on General Provident Fund like Balance, Guidelines, Final Statement, etc. along with various information related to the GPF to the Government employees in Uttarakhand. In the case of Internet shutdown, it will also work in offline mode. For those employees who do not have smartphones, the NIC has made provision of SMS service.
