Academy and regional offices of All India Technical Education Council (AICTE) will be opened in Uttarakhand. This information was given by AICTE’s Vice Chairman, Dr. M. P. Poonia, who reached the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon held in Graphic Era on Sunday. He said that sanctioning land from the government for this will be talked off.
More than 200 engineering and professional institutes of Uttarakhand are accredited under the AICTE. All these institutes have to make visits to the regional office, Kanpur, for their work, whereas in Uttarakhand, offices of several central institutions including CBSE, Debt Recovery Agency (DRT) have been opened.
Dr. Poonia, who arrived in Graphic Era University on Sunday, said that soon Regional Office and Training Academy will be opened in Uttarakhand.
In this academy, the engineering and professional teachers from across the state will be trained. Through this academy, new technologies and changes in industries will be encouraged by teachers in every year or two years intervals.
The offices of AICTE are currently available in Delhi to headquarter, Kanpur, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Guwahati, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bhopal, Vadodara.
