The thugs of Doon sat trapping on millions of rupees hundreds of people in America, Australia, and Canada. The thugs in the call center sent Microsoft’s fake pop-up (warning message) to their computer and then used to recover dollars in order to remove it. When it came to notice to the Microsoft Company and Canada Police, they contacted Dehradun police. On Tuesday, in the four call centers in Patel Nagar and Clement town police station area, five people were arrested.
Senior Superintendent of Police Nivedita Kukreti told that about ten days ago, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police had informed them that some people from Dehradun were cheating the citizens there.
A confidential investigation was conducted on this information. On Tuesday night, at around two o’clock, four police teams raided the Sandhu center and business park at Transport Nagar. Five youths were arrested here. Among them, Ranjan Kumar resident Daltonganj, Palamu, Jharkhand, Mayank Bansal resident Savla Khurd, Dehradun, Raja Lamba resident Salai, Rajpur, Sandeep Rana resident of Choyla, Chandrabani and Anshul Shrivastav resident of GMS Road, Dehradun.
Bhupendra Singh, an officer of the Indian Office of Microsoft Company, the resident of Jivan Park, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, filed one lawsuit against them in Patel Nagar, two lawsuits in Clement town Police Station. The Police have discovered 27 hard disks, four servers, three laptops from the accused.
All these accused used to work in the call center on the pay scale of 20-25 thousand rupees per month. A register was also found where they have written a complete account of how much money they have looted from them. It is feared that they have looted millions of foreigners in the last one-and-a-half years.
