592 patients of HIV disappeared in Uttarakhand, due to this they cannot get their information

592 patients of HIV have disappeared in the state. Due to the lack of ID of these patients, their information is not available. There are antiretroviral therapy (ART) centers in Dehradun and Haldwani. HIV sufferers come to these centers.

Patients’ medications are started after their checkups. 374 patients disappeared after taking treatment at the ART center of Dehradun. 218 patients disappeared from Haldwani’s ART center. In addition, ten people stopped treatment, while 3977 HIV sufferers are currently undergoing treatment at ART center.

Proposals have been sent to link patients with ID
IDs are not taken from HIV patients due to confidentiality. Also, such patients have not been linked to any ID. Dr. Arjun Singh Sengar, Additional Project Director, Uttarakhand State AIDS Control Society said that the proposal has been sent to the Central Government to connect patients with the ID.

The work will be done in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Government. He said that efforts will be made to find out the patients who have left medication with the help of OGO (Out Reach Worker) with the help of NGOs.
